Victoria, BC - November 13, 2002 - The Mars Institute announced today it has incorporated as a federal non-profit company in Canada. Canada has a vibrant and growing space community and has signalled an intent to be a significant participant in future Mars exploration. The Mars Institute will work with the existing community to increase our understanding of Mars. The Mars Institute's Board of Directors in Canada includes Dr. Pascal Lee of the SETI Institute, Mr. Marc Boucher of SpaceRef Interactive, Inc., both of whom serve on the board in the United States, and Dr. Stephen Braham of Simon Fraser University. and Canada whose purpose is to further the scientific study, exploration, and public understanding of Mars.
